Looked at the menu and toolbar contributions of Designer. Here is what I came up with and recommendation on what should be done with them:

File -> Add Existing Project (remove, this can be done by Import -> General -> Existing Projects into Workspace)
File -> Add Existing Model Project Set (remove, this can be done by Import -> General -> Existing Projects into Workspace)
Edit -> New Child (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> New Sibling (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> New Association (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> Paste Special (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> Clone (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> Open (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Edit -> Edit (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Search -> Find Model Object (add to a new Search -> Teiid Designer submenu which will always be available)
Search -> Metadata… (add to a new Search -> Teiid Designer submenu which will always be available)
Search -> Transformations… (add to a new Search -> Teiid Designer submenu which will always be available)
Toolbar -> Save All button (remove as Eclipse now includes that button by default)
Toolbar -> Find Model Object By Name (remove)
Toolbar -> Open Metadata Search (remove)
Toolbar -> Search -> Metadata (keep but add "Search" to menu item name to be consistent with other items)
Toolbar -> Search -> Relationship (keep but add "Search" to menu item name to be consistent with other items)
Toolbar -> List Of Open Editors (remove)
Project -> Validate Model Transformations (should only appear when Teiid Designer is the current perspective)
Help -> Cheat Sheets -> Designer -> Create a new Web Service from Relational Views/Sources (remove)

I will implement above if I don't hear any objections. Thanks!
