I tested it and beside unsuccessfull attempts on a vanilla (nightly) JBDS things worked. I could create a GWT (Google) Application, deploy and use it in the browser. 
I have created an issue in JBDS-1340.
I could not test the development mode yet, the gwt plugin for firefox (needed for development mode only) seems broken on fedora 13 on x86_64.
