Martin Malina commented on JBIDE-8809:
--------------------------------------

Max, I'm not sure what has broken and the Seam team don't want to deal with it - they say that we're using old examples with new EAP and we cannot expect it to work. But I agree with you - CP releases (EAP 5.1.1 is one) should not change APIs, nor add new features. But apparently some API must have changed and now it's broken.

Nick, the URL you have is correct. It's a new CP (cumulative patch release) of EAP 5.1. I would assume that once it's released (will take at least another couple of weeks), we should start including it with future JBDS releases instead of EAP 5.1. Also testing with EAP 5.1.1 instead of 5.1 would make sense. But this ER1 is only the first engineering release for internal testing. There will be ER2 and perhaps one or two CRs before it goes GA.

> The Seam 2.2 DVD Store example is not working with EAP 5.1.1 ER1. It fails to deploy.
> We had a similar problem in EAP 5.1 and it was resolved by updating the project-examples to use a newer version of the example. See JBIDE-6696.
