It's still possible to drag and drop palette elements to visual part of editor but sometimes it doesn't work. As I wrote in previous comment I think it's better to instruct user to drag and drop elements to source part of VPE because it works always. I think it's not good when user follows instructions from documentation and software is not working as described in documentation. On the other side I agree that it's more nicely when user can drag and drop palette elements to visual part of VPE.
