I would personally expect the opposite, these wizards are supposed to create new, usable projects, as opposed to quickstarts which are supposed to be examples. I suppose you don't expect the Dynamic Web project wizard to provide pre-filled values.

I anything, I would only prefill the package field with the last value used from the wizard.

Today, we could very easily prefill the values with stuff from *examples*.xml, but it's not active on the first page of the wizard.
