tested and the outcome is the following:

Our plugin gets installable but then not all required parts from google get installed (I most likely miss references to required plugins in my plugin now). 

Nick added the url of the google update site to our update site and our facet therefore gets installable even if the user did not install the google plugins in a first step. What one would get then is a google subsys that does not really work. Still, our stuff gets installable and what's we were heading towards. all fine. Assigning back.
