If you don't mind, I will move this JIRA to M2 to be able to verify it properly.
This is what needs to be verified for this JIRA:

In M1 not all of this works - stop server, remote deployment don't work. There are probably separate JIRAs for those, but still I would prefer to verify this JIRA in M2.
