How it should work, IMO:
# If the selected text does not contain any spaces and newlines, we should not expand the selection.
# If the selected text contains new lines, tabs, etc., these characters should be replaced by appropriate special symbols ('\n', '\t', ...).
# If there are any other special symbols or non ASCII characters, it should be taken into account too.
