Rob, this is as close to a process as I can define at the moment for how to get the project into the project examples XML for JBoss Tools & JBDS...

1) Create the example project in Eclipse. Export it as a zip.

2) Locate the appropriate project examples XML files (i.e. look at "Changes in JBDS 4.0.1/JBoss Tools 3.2.1" in http://community.jboss.org/wiki/ProjectExamples)

3) Locate that file in SVN (i.e. http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/download.jboss.org/jbosstools/examples). If file doesn't exist in SVN, copy the one from the location found in #2 into the SVN examples directory.

3) Add the example (see http://community.jboss.org/docs/DOC-16578)

4) Check-in the zip file from #1 to [WHERE DO WE TELL FOLKS TO PUT EXAMPLE ZIPS?] in SVN. (Right now this seems to be a mix of locations - SVN workspace directories, download directories, download.jboss.org/jbosstools/examples in SVN, etc. We should define a consistent location outside of SVN or inside SVN that can be counted on consistently.)

5) Check the modified XML file back into SVN. 

6) Verify that your new/modified example exists in the named category for the project XML file you updated.

Now considering that the two documents I reference above are in draft form at the moment, you can't really tell what files to use. But if you look at the http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/trunk/download.jboss.org/jbosstools/examples/project-examples-jbds30.xml to see how the other ESB examples look you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.

And for now I'd also create your own workspace directory "rcernich" under http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbosstools/workspace and put an "examples" directory in it for your zip file. That will then be the path you use to get to the zip...
