It's a strange behaviour. 
I've spent some time and came to conclusion that VPE's visual refresh doesn't influence on rendering, i.e. when screen is grey I can resize the editor part -- and immediately all the content is shown up. Even more.. if I continue dragging of the edge of the part -- the content could unpredictably disappear. 

I didn't find an appropriate eclipse's bug. So the reason still could be in the jbds itself.
