Libor Zoubek commented on JBDS-1668:
------------------------------------

Thanks for setting this up. I checked machydra and the download jobs were overlapping (it took more than 2 hours to sync, so some sync jobs ran twice). I've temporarily disabled all jobs and ran it by hand. I'll enable it once first 3 sync jobs finishes. But as I run it by hand, it takes very long time for wget only to verify that one file is already downloaded, especially for target platform.

Would it be possible to generate some index file on download.jboss.org ? It could contain filename + md5 on each line. Mirroring scripts could only download that file and then check what is missing locally and possibly download it. I would write client script. WDYT?

> Need to establish rules for synching these servers onto MacPro.

> I've set up ssh access from home -> machydra, and have Hudson and Apache running here:
> http://dhcp-1-156.brq.redhat.com/ (Apache)
> http://dhcp-1-156.brq.redhat.com:8080/ (Hudson)
> Apache home dir is mounted on /Volumes/Argolid4 so it's got lots of room to grow.
> I've started crontab & scripts for rsync, but it appears to not be connecting out.
> See: /opt/rsync/*.sh and `crontab -e` to view crontab config.

> Ideally, we could set up a Hudson job like this one (https://hudson.qa.jboss.com/hudson/view/DevStudio/view/DevStudio_All/job/devstudio-minsk-upload-nightly/configure) to push bits to the new server over ssh.
