OK, I'm rewriting the error message as follows for 41x and trunk:

41x:

-                                       "The directory "+chosenPath+"\ncontains a "+detectedVersion+" Java VM. It needs to be a Java 5 compatible version of Java.");
+                                       "The directory "+chosenPath+"\ncontains Java VM version "+detectedVersion+". Please specify a Java 6 compatible VM directory.");

We don't actually (yet) test JBDS5 w/ JDK 7, do we?
