Fred Bricon commented on JBIDE-10182:
-------------------------------------

This list comes direclty from Maven Central. JBoss Tools doesn't filter anything out. Well newest version of archetypes are displayed by default. It's actually m2e which is displaying that stuff.
On what criteria should we decide archetypes are outdated? There are hundred of them. Some old ones are still relevant.
Anyway, the nexus indexer API doesn not provide ways to filter archetypes based on creation date. Creation date is not even a maven concept. So there is nothing we can do about it.
Sorry.

> "spring-mvc" does not return all the archetypes listed at Maven Central. Perhaps this is my own misunderstanding of the relationship between the New Maven Project Wizard in Eclipse/JBoss Tools and the search at Maven Central.
