there is no sense to discuss the reason, cause here is better to provide a concrete arguments, may be you are right with patch characteristics like JBIDE-1900 improvements. I have only 1 arguments - with my patch - I can not reproduce exception any more. The patch improves performance significantly. But for very complex cases the patch JBIDE-10016_20111025.patch not a best solution... I have several ideas how to enhance it.
