A user now can change the project example output directory using Window>Preferences>JBoss Tools>Project Examples

BTW I have fixed several issues with project examples of the mavenArchetype type. They are mostly related to showing an error message if m2e can't solve any archetype or can't build any project.
For instance, the "Java EE 6 example (Maven archetype)" project example has an incorrect version (7.0.2-SNAPSHOT); the "JBoss AS 7 / Java EE 6 EAR Webapp(Maven archetype)" project example throws an exception related to the JBoss Maven JAX-RS Configurator. 
Those errors are now shown after importing a project example.
