I have tested the issue again using JBDS 4.1.1.M1 and Java 1.6.0_24 on Windows XP.
The following are the steps I have done:

- started JBDS
- installed EPP 4.3.0.GA (4.3.0.GA_CP03)
- imported the testseamportlet project example
- deployed the testseamservlet datasource and project
- started the server

Could you specify the environment you have used (JBDS, EPP, JDK, OS) and the issue you have faced?
Have you reinstalled EPP 4.3 or you use any previously installed server? There is a problem in EPP 4.3/JBoss Portal 2.7 when installing a portlet two or more times.
Try to reinstall EPP 4.3 and reproduce the problem again.
