so far we decided not to use the remote deployment API since it is (was) only able to deployed archives. We opted for a file and ssh based approach since that would allow us to deploy in exploded and incremental manner. We were convinced that the remote deployment API would be needed in domain mode and that was not our prior audience. What's the exact intent behind this requirement?
