Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-9872:
---------------------------------------

It seems that the only appropriate way to open a file with some custom extension is to use Content Types preferences. We don't see a way to do it automatically.
Max, should we resolve the issue as "Won't fix"?

> take a working index.html and rename it to index.php and suddenly the editor don't want to show it complaining about non matching content type.
> rename back to .html and it works fine.
> Can't we make the editor accept content without having it registered as supporter of the identified content type?
