I tested mylyn 3.6.2 against: 

1. Plugin doesn't affect JBDS stability
2. Plugin doesn't significantly interfere with other standard JBDS UI parts
3. Plugin can be installed without errors
4. All mylyn views and perspective works without errors
5. Simple task manipulation in local task repository (create, modify, delete, activate, deactivate ...)
6. Mylyn connector with JIRA works

All test cases passed.
