------------------------------------------------------------
Steps to repro:
1. install Oracle JDK 6 SE 32-bit JDK: jdk-6u25-windows-i586.exe
2. install Oracle JDK 6 SE 64-bit JDK: jdk-6u25-windows-x64.exe (prolly not needed)
3. double-click jbdevstudio-product-win32-4.1.1.v201110271900R-H748-GA.jar to launch install process.
After installing JBDS4.1.1.CR2 (GA), I created a few example projects as shown:
!jbds411-installed-win64-jdk6-32-snapshot.png!
Then I tried to install the Subclipse and Mylyn features from the Extras site (zip file version) and the reported crash happened. See details:
https://issues.jboss.org/secure/attachment/12348552/JBDS-1648.install.notes.JBDS411.txt
I think this is an upstream problem w/ org.eclipse.mylyn.tasks.ui_3.6.0 - 3.6.2.
---
Not sure what to do here. We could remove Mylyn from the various Extras site features, backlevel it to 3.5 [1], or report the problem upstream (note that 3.6.3 [2] was just released a few days ago, so maintenance IS ongoing).

[2] http://download.eclipse.org/mylyn/releases/helios/compositeContent.xml
It is conceivable that we could remove it now and add it back in after 4.1.1.GA release (without having to roll a full 4.1.2 development cycle).

> I had installed the 4.0GA version of Jboss Dev Studio, created a sample project. Later I restarted the Studio after attempting to install a few plugins (I believe Subclipse).
>
> Every time afterwards, it would launch the studio , the UI would launch with code windows, and then the studio would crash to desktop in less than a second afterwards.
> I do have dump eclipse files that can be attached to this issues.
> Note: I am able to open the same workspace without any issues using the STS eclipse IDE.
