Actually, the JAX-RS Maven Configurator is independent from Xavier's JAX-RS tooling, so they don't need to ship together.

I don't know about the JAX-RS tooling, but for the maven configurator, it certainly is an oversight on my side. We don't have much feedback as to know if it's too alpha or ok enough. So it really is Max's call on that one.
