Following further discussion w/ Len and Isaac, I've tweaked the copy in the "NOTE" at the bottom to read:

NOTE: JBoss Developer Studio 4 requires JDK 6 to install, but can then easily be configured to run with JDK 7, though this is not a supported configuration*.
JBoss Developer Studio 5 will support installation from and use of JDK 7. Click here to join the Early Access program.
