I would make a couple of recommendations. First, I would wait a little bit longer (the end of this week if nothing comes up) and jQM 1.1 will be out. Then you can also use jQ 1.7.1 (I don't think it will support 1.7.2 until the next maintenance release). Also, you should bind to the pageinit event instead of doc ready with jQM so give your page an ID (page1 or what ever) and then do something like:
