Teiid does use the JBoss server API (management/profile frame work in the 5.x, CLI in 7.x) to do all the deploys if Designer is using the Admin API provided. I believe this get copied to default deploy folder under JBoss AS.

Also I am not sure about the issue saying to "JBDS deploy" folder. Where is this folder, is this under same JBoss AS instance as the Teiid connects to? If there is a way influence the Server API to choose a separate deploy folder than the default, then we are open to add that enhancement.
