Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBIDE-9719:
--------------------------------------------

Teiid should not use JBoss server api directly since it ties it to a very specific version of the server and no, deploying via such api does not put it in deployment folder, at least not in AS 7.

The request is about using the Eclipse WTP deployment mechanism for projects instead of using its own if can be avoided.

For that the user configures the deployment folder; we got some defaults setup - do you need others ?

How do you start/stop the server if not through Eclipse WTP ? Or do you assume it is already started ?

note, we do expose the client management API if for some reason normal deployment is not enough, but then you do not get benefits of incremental deployment.

> When we deploy Teiid artifacts (like Datasources, VDB), JBDS *always* deploys the artifacts to JBoss deploy folder. It should use deploy folder configured in JBDS.
