The only errors I am seeing for remote as7.1.0 is the following:

java.lang.RuntimeException: Operation failed with status WAITING

	at org.jboss.ide.eclipse.as.jmx.integration.JBossServerConnection.loadRoot(JBossServerConnection.java:86)

This also makes it not work, but I'm not seeing any NPE's anymore.
