Sorry, I didn't notice that profile. It probably gets activated but the systemProperties property is overridden in our pom file to specify some additional command line arguments. 

I've noticed combine.children="append" in the profile but when I googled it I found only pages talking about combining plugins configuration of parent and child and not about the properties. What's that supposed to do? It would be great if we could combine the value defined in that profile and in child pom but when I tried it didn't work for me.
