Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-13232:
----------------------------------------

> What is the point in using jbdevstudio-4.2.0.c vs jbdevstudio-JunoSR0c ?

Consistency with names

> shouldn't these versioning mechanics be done by branches instead of duplication in the repo ?

Difference here is that we use several versions on both branch and master. It's not a 1-1 coupling and we maintain several versions at the same time as part of the same release.

> And JunoSR0c is what I considered part of the name to know what it was - 4.2.0.c means what exactly ?

4.2.0.c means it's the 3rd version ("c") of our target-platform based on 4.2.0.

> .target files are all called "e42-wtp34-jbds6" even though they are for jbosstools and not specific to jbds6 either.
> Makes it hard to actually see which target platform to choose
