Mickael Istria updated JBIDE-8838:
----------------------------------
Attachment: sites.tar.gz
So I gave a try to source features as they are generated by Tycho, using the attached dummy sites:
Let's say we have Feature and Feature.source in version OLD, and Feature and Feature.source in version NEW.
--
If I install Feature OLD only, I can perform an update to Feauture NEW, and at the same time, install Feature.source NEW.
I cannot install Feature.source NEW without also selecting update of Feature
If I install Feature OLD and Feature.source OLD at the same time, then I have to update Feature and Feature.source to NEW at the same time (I cannot update them independently)
If I install Feature OLD and then Feature.source OLD, then I have to update Feature and Feature.source to NEW at the same time
(I cannot update them independently)
If I install Feature.source OLD, then I can either update Feature.source to NEW, or update Feature.source and Feature to NEW at the same time
I cannot just update Feature alone.

> As per example done in https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=344515 and http://wiki.eclipse.org/Minerva#Source, the rest of JBT needs source features/plugins.
