This is *not* going to automatically link the current workspace selection to the Forge Runtime. Instead, there is a 'Link with Editor' toggle button in the Forge console view, analog to the same button in the explorer views. Switching the toggle on will have the effect that the Forge console view will be linked to the input of the editor currently on top, that is if the input of that editor is a file.
So if both the 'Link with Editor' buttons in the Forge console and in the Explorer views are switched on, the effect will be that the Forge runtime picks up the file that contains the current selection (if the current selection belongs to a file).
