Koen Aers commented on JBIDE-10033:
-----------------------------------

I actually am not sure whether we can do something to avoid the above. As can be seen the position of the Forge console is somewhat random depending on whether or not you first open the cheat sheet view (and possibly other views that exist).

The only thing I see that could be done is to add the Forge console explicitly in a JEE perspective extension (and possibly in extensions of other perspectives) and explicitly control where it shows up. But to be honest I think that this is blurring these perspectives with a view that some people might not need. I think it is way better to just rely on the individual users to reshuffle the Forge console to a location where they like it. The workbench automatically saves this location when it exits (or upon a change of perspective) and restores the console at the same location upon restart (or when you switch back to the original perspective).

> Forge is accessible via Ctrl-4 or Window-Show View-Other
> When requested it shows up on the right-side of my Eclipse window - tall & skinny, this might be because I had previously launched one of the quickstarts that displayed the cheatsheet.
