Andre Dietisheim commented on JBIDE-10594:
------------------------------------------

Compiling a GWT application on OpenShift is currently not possible for users. One would have to switch the OpenShift instance to a profile with more resources:

William DeCoste on the 1/11/12:

we need the "exlarge" profile for this GWT app for consistent successful compilation and deployment. The "fork" (http://maven.apache.org/plugins/maven-compiler-plugin/compile-mojo.html#fork)param helps, but not enough to be consistent. So we have a couple recommendations - fork, localWorkers, etc. - for users but until we can offer exlarge there will be problems with larger GWT apps.

Unfortunately a user may not influence this setting for now. The only valid work around for now is to prebuild the gwt jar locally and copy it to the deployments folder and push the project.
