I turned the initial text into a link-styled text. The widget, that gets displayed after a short delay, is positioned slightly more to the top and to the left. So for the user it's still kinda weird how the displayed information is changing while he's looking at it. 
I guess I'll have to get back to a styled text (no widget) solution and make sure curson and click behave the same as if I used a link-widget.
