Rob Stryker updated JBIDE-12042:
--------------------------------

    Attachment: JBIDE-12042.patch

this patch ensures that for rse mode, the pollers are properly set. Only if 'expose management' is checked will the management ports be used.

Either way, timeout poller is NOT used for RSE under any circumstances.

This patch only modifies the creation wizard and related classes. It does not affect if a user switches inside the server editor.

> Currently, if you set up a remote as7 and use the defaults, it won't work.
> You either need to check "Expose your management port" in the server editor (and set up a user in your remote as7 installation).
> Or you need to change the Startup poller to Web poller (instead of JBoss 7 Manager Service which doesn't make sense unless you expose the management port).
> It would be desirable to make this work OOTB - e.g. by default use the web poller - this would be the easiest solution that wouldn't require any extra logic, but also it wouldn't encourage users to use the management api.
> Please, evaluate this and move to a future version if needed.
