I've committed some damage control, to keep the exceptions away.  The result is that as7.0 will still have a connection added in the mbean server view, but as7.1 will not. There will be no error for as7.1 since I see this as a feature that is missing (not an error).  Until I have time to investigate how to add as7.1 jmx connection without huge issues or changes.
