use case 1.) 

# EXEC: launch *OpenShift Express Application* wizard
# EXEC: provide credentials
# EXEC: choose an *existing* *unshared* project (in your workspace) to use
# EXEC: go forth until you get the page with the git settings
# EXEC: on the *git settings page*: check the *default remote name* that is suggested:

Result:
It is *openshift* but should be *origin*

use case 2.) 

# EXEC: launch *OpenShift Express Application* wizard
# EXEC: provide credentials
