Rob - not sure why you keep using something else than the *standard* JFace controls for message dialogs:

"Please use MessageDialog.openConfirm as stated or explain why you aren't." 

Using the raw SWT MessageBox is more lines of code, behaves different across OS's and is just not the same as used anywhere else.

Thus "Please use MessageDialog.openConfirm as stated or explain why you aren't."
