This is my screencast showing the most basic situation. (For some reason I can't get screencasts working for more than 40 seconds... istanbul seems flakey). 

As you can see, I have an AS7.1 server installed, and trying to create a dynamic web project clearly has defaults of 1.6.  

No idea with what you're doing, but I am copying the user's situation from the forum post.
