Try using Eclipse 3.7.2 instead of 7.1, as that's the latest most stable version of the Indigo stack. You may also want to add more memory to Eclipse than the default settings:

Are you running a 32- or 64-bit Windows? Which JDK are you using? (ideally, you'd use a 64-bit JDK w/ 64-bit Eclipse or 32-bit JDK w/ 32-bit Eclipse).

Note that the 64-bit version of Eclipse on Windows 64 doesn't support JBoss Tools' Visual Page Editor as there's no Xulrunner for Win64.
