yes but swtbot requires ui running and is slow IMO.

hmm - wasn't aware of that limitation. That's sad. But again leaving the raw install to p2 directory gotta be simpler.

eh? how come ? isn't it just p2 install "the feature we want" ? 

You just need the feature names to install right ?

And you want the test to fail if that feature isn't there.

eh - okey you are talking about "select all" ...i'm talking about controlled verification and be sure its only testing/installing the exact features we want.

Never seen a UI based test that is cheaper - would love to see it ;)

for me running p2director is much easier than having to run a swtbot test.

But I get that if you just want to test "does all features on this specific list of sites install all together" then sure - thats probably easier to do.
