Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-11512:
----------------------------------------

Example of use-case:
JBIDE-11714 will be applied only on trunk. It is a structural change that will require changing some jobs config. Since we don't "branch" branch jobs from trunk, that means that we'll have to backport all changes when doing the new branch.
Using a branching approach for jobs would guarantee a constant effort once for each branch. Currently, it implies efforts in backporting are O(structural changes between branches).

> In Jenkins,
> Since betaX is a fork from trunk, it would be more convenient to find a way to create the betaX jobs and view as a fork of Trunk jobs. It would prevent from having to backport stuff all the time, and would make the jobs follow the same logic as code.
> Please list there the technical issues that this script will have to deal with.
