When I try with the RESTEasy sample, I'm getting nicely formatted output unless the call fails and it shows HTML in the response body. If it fails, we're not cleaning up the response body. And to show HTML as "pretty printed", all you have to do is click the world button to show it in a Browser. 

So I'm not sure what you're after here.
