Brian Fitzpatrick commented on JBIDE-10947:
-------------------------------------------
Ok, just found and fixed the bug. My Regex way of testing for valid XML didn't work in all cases. I've replaced that by simply trying to parse it - if it passes, then we're good to go and can format it as XML. If not, JSON.
Checked in the fix to trunk for CR1

> When testing a web service, often the response data will be in JSON or XML format. It would be great if these could be auto-detected, syntax coloured, and (optionally?) reformatted and indented.
> Otherwise, I'm always going to have to copy the response data and paste it into jsonlint.com. :)
