Here's why. :)

Per JBIDE-6919, we changed it so that if we encounter a "Https" url, we automatically check the basic authorization box. So you're fighting the tooling trying to ascertain what you need based on the URL specified. 

I can change it so that it sets this when you update the URL and allows you to un-set it after that. Would that work?
