It looks like this was tested with an older version of the BPEL editor. Currently the "Details" section of the "if" Property Page just shows an XPath expression editor box. This allows arbitrary XPath expressions to be entered and I have verified that they are saved and restored correctly.

We're currently working on reintroducing the custom Expression Editor extension point which will restore the expression proposals functionality that was removed because of an API change in eclipse Juno.
