Koen Aers commented on JBIDE-12865:
-----------------------------------
Pavol, what you see is a combination of several problems:
- the memory option "-Xmx=512m" is not correct, if you use "-Xmx512m" Forge starts correctly
- because of the wrong option, the VM halts with an error message that is not appropriately shown to the user; this needs to be fixed but is not critical IMO.
- the exceptions you see in the error log will also happen *without* specifying additional VM arguments; it is due to Forge not correctly removing the previous launch. It is also harmless. I will open a separate issue for this.

> Forge can sometimes consume a great deal of memory when running certain plugins. It would be nice if JVM arguments could be configured, or memory size increased to alleviate this problem. Also starting with a slightly larger heap size should help with this as well.
