The patch looks good to me. If I were Max or Denis, I might ask about why these two lines are different:

line 383: declare path w no initial value, inside try block set to one value, in catch block set to other value
line 393: declare path with initial valie, inside try block set to one value, in catch ignore

But, I'm not Max or Denis, and I really don't see this difference as a problem ;)
