Mickael Istria commented on JBIDE-12773:
----------------------------------------

A jenkins.target (similar to unified.target but using path to NFS for Jenkins) has been published to Nexus.
The birt CI job uses it: https://jenkins.mw.lab.eng.bos.redhat.com/hudson/view/DevStudio/view/DevStudio_Trunk/job/jbosstools-4.0_trunk.component--birt It's working fine, and no concerning effect can be detected on performances.
This is way more clear to use it than to use sites for target-platform. Then I think we should move all trunk job to using this target, and remove all stuff related to using directly sites rather than target-platform. This will make parent pom much clearer and wouldn't break any use-case.

> Instead of relying on profiles to use the local mirror of TP, we could create and use a jenkins.target which would simply be a copy of unified.target, but using a different URL.
> Then jobs could use it, and we'd finally use target-platforms on CI!
> As soon as Tycho 0.16 is resolved, we can replace this hudson.target by Tycho repository mirroring.
