Options include:

a) fix JBDS 5.0.2 to allow installation of org.eclipse.m2e.jdt 1.x instead of 1.0

b) use JBT instead of JBDS (workaround: won't restrict installation of things that are newer than what's sanctioned in JBDS 5.0.1)
