Alexey Kazakov commented on JBIDE-12491:
----------------------------------------
Seam 2.1 & 2.2 did not use database.type in seam-gen templates at all. Seam-gen build.xml set this variable but it was not used in the templates.
In Seam 2.3 Beta2 database.type was used in datasource-ds.xml.
So we started to set database.type as driver jar file name for Seam 2.3 Beta 2 to generate a correct -ds.xml file.
Anyway we switched to @driverJar@ in JBT 4.0.0.Alpha1 and 3.3.2.
